The Nurse Tech. functions as a member of the patient care team by caring for patients and providing support services under the direction of the Registered Nurse. As a member of the healthcare team, the Nurse Tech. will employ interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides patient care by assisting patients with comfort measures, activities of daily living, and procedures as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Observes and communicates changes in the patient's condition to the Registered Nurse.
Directs patient/family issues and concerns to the Registered Nurse.
Provides age specific patient care based on the unit scope of services.
Adheres to the safety policies and procedures of the organization. Recognizes and reports potential safety issues.
Demonstrates ability to utilize patient care equipment within scope of training.
Maintains confidentiality and actively supports patient/family rights.
Supports and contributes to organizational cost-saving initiatives.
Participates in unit/divisional Professional Clinical Practice.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Minimum
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); has completed basic nursing clinical skills course in accredited nursing program.
Preferred Medical Terminology Course or STNA.
Hours per pay period: 48
Hours: 7:00pm to 7:00am
