Job Summary

The ServiceNow Administrator / Developer position will be responsible for key activities in the ServiceNow application that will help shape the long term vision of IT at Mercy Health.  We are looking for a candidate that can leverage ServiceNow development and can work with program management, engineering teams, and key business stakeholders to develop enterprise business solutions for our internal and external customers aligning to Service Management best practices.

This position is expected to work both independently and with various teams across the Mercy Health enterprise.

Responsibilities:

 

1)      Develop processes and applications on the ServiceNOW platform that will provide operational and tactical business and clinical benefit to the mission of Mercy Health.

2)      Develop technical requirements from business requirement to outline how to execute the previous responsibility.

3)      Stay current on technologies that are required for this development.

4)      Learn new technologies and techniques that can bring benefit to the Mercy Health Mission.

5)      Participate in Agile Scrum process that is leveraged as the teams SDLC.

 

Technical Skills and Experience:

There are two distinct candidates skill sets that will be considered for this position.  If you fall into these to skill sets, consider applying:

Skill Set 1:

ServiceNOW certified Admin (preferred) or equivalent experience.

ServiceNOW certified Developer (preferred) or equivalent experience.

Understanding of some or all of the following areas of ServiceNOW – Workflow Editing, Report Generation, Performance Analytics, Update Sets, Glide Records and System, CMS, Orchestrator /  MID server

Understanding of most or all of the following technologies – javascript, sql, HTML, CSS, Webservices API (SOAP or REST), PowerShell, JSON, XML

ITIL Foundational Certification (preferred)

Understanding of Agile and Scrum development process

Strong aptitude for picking up new technologies through self-education

Understand of LDAP and Active Directory

 

 

Skill Set 2:

2 years of previous development experience in a health care or corporate environment

Strong Understanding of all of the following technologies – javascript, sql, HTML, CSS, Webservices API (SOAP or REST), JSON, XML

Some experience with ServiceNOW or a like technology

ITIL Foundational Certification (preferred)

Understanding of Agile and Scrum development process

Powershell scripting would be a plus

Strong aptitude for picking up new technologies through self-education

Understand of LDAP and Active Directory

 

Other Position Requirements:

Ability to clearly and effectively express ideas and messages via speech or writing.

Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze and examine data in detail, and draw appropriate conclusions.

Experience in a Health Care environment is desired

Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail

Healthcare knowledge/background including data privacy practices and laws

Strong customer service orientation

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Use general office application tools (e.g. Power Point, Excel, Word, and Visio)

 

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

ServiceNow Administrator Certification highly desired

ServiceNow Developer experience a plus

Service Now Implementation Specialist a plus

ITIL Foundation highly desired

Agile Development a plus
