Job Summary

The clinical lead Medical Assistant or LPN is responsible for the coordination of patient care and teaching all clinical staff through the proper clinical process of rooming the patients, the proper workflow within out-patient ambulatory CarePATH, working in-baskets, referrals, prior-authorizations, forms, in-office lab tests, EKGs, spirometry, proper techniques for setting up for procedures, explaining the after-visit summary. Directs and guides activities of other clinical staff while maintaining standards of professional clinical care and the established policies and procedures of the clinic setting.  Assures that the office is in a joint commission state of readiness at all times.  Assure that daily quality controls are taught and are being done correctly, injections being done correctly, assures no expired medications or supplies on onsite. Keeps up to date on all updates in outpatient ambulatory CarePATH; attends mandatory webinars and other meetings as requested.



Establish trusting relationships with all staff; assure that all new clinical staff have one on one on the job training and mentoring for as long as is needed; assist existing staff who may need this assistance so they are empowered in their jobs.


Assures offices are in perpetual state of readiness for joint commission.


Keeps updated on all outpatient ambulatory CarePATH training and attends mandatory webinars as needed.


Qualifications - Minimum


Required Minimum Education:

Vocational/Technical Degree

Specialty/Major: Medical Assistant Certification or Registered Medical Assistant is required and working towards Associates Degree to be completed within two years of hire date.


Preferred Education:

2 year Associates Degree




Medial Assistant Certification or Registered Medical Assistant and working towards Associates Degree within two years of hire date.



Associates Degree



Must have worked in clinical office setting for at least three (3) years preferably in a specialty setting.


Associates Degree or working towards Associates Degree to be completed within two years of hire date. Ability to relate well to all staff, creative problem solver, willingness to be flexible, up to date CPR.


Experienced with Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint.



Hours per pay period: 80

Hours: 7:30am to 5:00pm

Times will vary according to the needs of the practice.
