The Registrar performs front office operations, such as registering all patients in a timely manner who have not been pre-registered who will receive services. Maintains current knowledge of all insurance cards and billing necessities to obtain accurate demographic, financial, and clinical information and signatures from patients (or POA) as determined by Medicare, State and Federal guidelines. Collects copays as applicable and attempts to collect any outstanding debt to facility/practice.
Qualifications - Minimum
EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED AND/OR TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or equivalent. Basic keyboarding and computer skills, ability to use standard office equipment (phone, fax, copier, printer). Excellent customer service skills including ability to greet people in a warm and friendly manner.
