Performs general area cleaning throughout the facilities; is knowledgeable of use and dilution of cleaning/disinfection chemicals, general linens sorting, distribution and record keeping, proper procedures for removal of biohazardous waste, general safety protection and procedures. Uses buffing and extracting equipment, appropriately uses the Technical manuals in the department to accomplish cleaning/maintenance of hard floors and carpeting. Works independently to accomplish heavy duty in depth cleaning throughout the facilities. Maintains linen supplies and conducts accurate linen inventory studies. Promotes the institution's philosophy, mission, and values during all interactions with patients, families, staff and others. Interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with multiple complex demands of relationships on the departmental level, as well as with internal and external customers. Ability to work under pressure and to reorganize priorities frequently.
Qualifications - Minimum
Must be able to read and write English and follow instructions
Previous housekeeping experience preferred; previous work experience required.
Hours per pay period: 0
Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm
Rotating weekends and holidays.
