Job Summary

First level supervisor to employees in the Supply Chain departments such as Central Distribution and Printing/Mailing Services. Acts in place of Supply Chain Manager or Director as required. Business management functions include budgeting, end of month close and initiative management Other duties as assigned.

Operations Management

• Supervises daily operations of assigned departments or work groups including monitoring the annual department operating and capital budgets

• Performs regular supply spend analysis and cost accounting quality control reviews

• Manages contracts and vendor relationships assuring compliance

• Leads physical inventory management

• Leads moveable equipment management program

• Leads hospital level and market level improvement initiatives

• Leads efforts to discover cost savings opportunities / devise implementation plans

People Managment

• Assists in selection of personnel for hire and promotion

• Takes appropriate actions regarding progressive counseling and recommends disciplinary actions

• Acts as front line supervisor for direct reports - responds proactively to employee needs and concerns; manages personnel conflicts

• Manages time and labor applications as well as building work schedules

• Conducts periodic performance feedback sessions and completes draft annual performance evaluations on direct reports

• Directs employee continuing education and job competency training plans

• Promotes customer a focused environment which builds collaborative relationships with physicians, nursing and ancillary departments

• Actively participates in the Value Analysis Team/Committees; Oversees product conversions - implementation and communication

• Achieves ongoing compliance with all regulatory agencies

• Serves as a resource to employees and customers as demonstrated by visibility and knowledge of issues

Required minimum education: High School Diploma or GED; specialty / major: Business, Supply Chain or HCA

Minimum qualifications: 1 years experience in supply chain operations or 1 year general management experience

• Demonstrates ability to lead thru period of change – leads department positively

• Demonstrates objectivity in decision making and fact based analysis

• Demonstrates cooperative management style that eliminates boundaries to achieve integrated, efficient and quality service

• Communicates effectively with all levels in the organization

- 2 years experience in medical supply chain management

Hours

Full-time, 40 hours per week, days
