Job Summary

At Mercy Health, we are seeking active, engaged, and enthusiastic team members who want to work closely with patients and care givers in a non-clinical role.

A role in the Hospitality area of the Cafeteria/Dietary/Food Service Host/Hostess /Nutrition/Patient Ambassador or Production worker is a valued member of the healthcare team.

Employees in the Nutrition Services/Hospitality Department will provide vital nutrition and world class service to our patients and families.

 

 Position Responsibilities may include:

 Visiting patient rooms or answering phone call to help patient fill out meal menu.

Assignment to production line to assemble/deliver of meal orders.

Meeting department standards for delivery time.

Aiding in meal set up at bedside.

Pick up and removal of trays after meals.

Occasionally may be asked to perform cash handling functions.

Responsible for maintaining clean work equipment and environment.

Working in the dish room as scheduled, following acceptable procedures.

Assigned to maintain stock and storage areas.

Qualifications - Minimum

Position Requirements include:

 HS Diploma or GED – Preferred.

HS Diploma or GED – Required for Patient Ambassador positions.

1-2 years of Nutrition/Hospitality experience - Preferred.

Customer service oriented, builds trust and respect by exceeding customer expectations.
