Functioning as the leader of the Care Delivery Team, the Registered Nurse assumes the responsibility of directing care for a team of patients. He/she demonstrates clinical competency, evidence of nursing leadership, and coordinates the nursing care of a specific group of patients. Nursing care reflects independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient’s physical, psychological, and sociocultural needs. Precepts new employees as assigned. Demonstrates competencies in the use of equipment essential in the care of patient age groups as indicated. .
Qualifications - Minimum
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current Ohio license. Demonstrated ability to function in emergency situations. Must maintain provider certification in American Heart BLS and ACLS. Must obtain PALS within 1 year of hire
Interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with multiple complex demands of relationships on the unit and departmental level, as well as with internal and external customers.
Hours per pay period: 48
Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm
One Saturday a month for endoscopies.
Rotated amongst staff.
