The Physician Office Coordinator, under the general supervision of the Area Practice Manager. Oversees the daily operations of the physician offices. Responsible for the overall supervision, administrative planning, control, and coordination of the management functions of the offices in order to achieve quality, financial, and customer service objectives of the practice. Coordinates the general clerical and technical duties. Maintains records and routine correspondence. Organizes office operations to maintain sufficient flow of work by evaluating and changing procedures accordingly. Promotes the institution’s philosophy, mission, and values during all interactions with patients, families, staff and others.
Qualifications - Minimum
Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures; fiscal management and human resource management practices; computer system, word processing and spreadsheet programs to assist in form and report completion.
Developing and maintaining department quality assurance; exercising initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making. Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with clinical and clerical staff, physicians, administrative staff and the public.
Ability to plan, prioritize, organize and direct the work of others; maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; establish quality control standards; identify problems, evaluate, recommend solutions and correct errors; communicate effectively verbally and in written form.
High School diploma required with further education in related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word is required and basic skills in Microsoft Excel area preferred.
Interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with multiple complex demands of relationships on the unit and departmental level, as well as with internal and external customers.
Hours per pay period: 80
Rotating: Days, evenings and Saturday.
