Functions as the leader and/or director of the Care Delivery Team. The Clinical Nurse I (CN II) assumes the responsibility of directing care. He/she demonstrates clinical competency, evidence of nursing leadership, and coordinates the nursing care of a specific group of patients. Nursing care reflects independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient’s physical, psychological, and sociocultural needs. Precepts new employees as assigned. Demonstrates competencies in the use of all equipment essential in the care of patient age groups as indicated. This nurse is especially proficient in his/her field. He/she participates in the development of orientation or policies and procedures at the departmental level.
Qualifications - Minimum
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio, BSN (completed or in a program), or certification.
Successful completion of the organization’s general and departmental orientation.
Obtains/maintains biannual certification in CPR.
Obtains/maintains annual JCAHO mandatory continuing education classes as defined by policy.
