The Medical Staff Coordinator works directly with officers and leaders of the organized medical staff. Responsibilities include medical staff meetings, credentialing, privileging, practitioner performance data, focused reviews, medical staff database, call schedules, and compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications - Minimum
Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare related field preferred, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification preferred.
Two to three years’ experience managing multiple deadlines and a heavy workload with minimal supervision. Medical staff office experience preferred.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills and problem solving ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.
Medical terminology required.
Advanced computer skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Positive and professional attitude to support the Hospital’s mission and values and serve as liaison between the Hospital and the Medical Staff.
Hours per pay period: 80
Some early morning and evening meetings.
