BASIC PURPOSE:Provides clerical support to delivery of patient care. The cardiac monitor watcher provides support by conscientiously viewing the central station cardiac monitor screens and reporting observations relevant to patient tracings to ensure the delivery of quality patient care. Responsible for excellent interpersonal skills and practicing the Core Values of Mercy Health Partners.
EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED AND/OR TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
· High School Graduate or GED required.
· Ability to successfully complete monitor course GCOI
· Computer experience preferred
· Ability to operate equipment on unit’s orientation checklist
· Recent health care experience preferred
Shift and Job Schedule
Hours: Part-Time, 24 hours weekly
