Performs receptionist duties by receiving the general public and employees, ascertaining their needs and directing them to proper persons. Performs general and confidential secretarial duties by scheduling meetings/rooms, typing letters, memos, minutes, etc. as requested by the Inpatient Director. Performs general clerical duties by preparing, compiling, and maintaining records according to the needs of the Hospice House. Orders office supplies; coordinates calendars for department personnel and develops all reports for local, federal and state accreditation and licensure.
Qualifications - Minimum
Has a high school diploma (or equivalent). Knowledge and training in medical terminology, typing computer skills preferred.
A minimum of two (2) years previous work experience in the areas of scheduling, registration, typing, computer skills, patient billing, and/or medical insurance processing preferred. Should have at least one (1) year of patient contact involving the resolution of patient/client issues.
Has a valid driver’s license and is insured in accordance with state and/or organizational.
Hours per pay period: 64
Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm
Weekend and holiday rotation.
Limited afternoons depending on need.
