Qualifications - Minimum


Get ready to use your expertise here. You’ll perform a wide variety of clinical tests to help our doctors with patient care. You’ll perform testing in many technical areas, and work various shifts at multiple locations.

You’ll also need to:

Perform testing as needed to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of results.

Perform blood bank duties.

Take part in quality improvement and performance improvement.

Follow hospital and laboratory policies and procedures, and comply with regulatory agencies’ requirements.

Stay up to date by doing required in-services and ongoing education.

Perform and monitor quality control procedures, and initiate corrective action, when needed.

Resolve technical problems and be ready to consult, when needed.

Keep instruments clean and do preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, when necessary.

Review logs and relay test results.

Support other laboratory team members.


We’re looking for a positive person who’s reliable and dedicated to our patients. Things move quickly around here, so you’ll also need to multi-task, stay organized and be flexible. You’ll need good communication skills, along with the ability to do work on your own. 


Specifically, you’ll need:

•             Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or equivalent

•             ASCP certification

•             Blood bank experience, training or desire for training

•             Strong troubleshooting skills

•             Availability for weekend and holiday rotation

The following are a plus:

•             MT experience

•             Ability to work all departments of our lab

•             Knowledge of medical terms

Hours per pay Period: 80

This position is mainly 2nd shift with some 3rd shift rotational coverage.

Every 3rd weekend and 2 holidays per year.
