Job Summary

As a critical care RN, you don’t shy away from challenges. And compassion is your middle name. Mercy Health may be the place for you. We need critical care RNs like you in level 1–3 trauma, community hospital, ICU (cardiovascular, cardiac-medical and neurosurgical), burn center, children’s/neonatal care and our stroke center. Your compassion and special expertise is essential to our patients — and to us. That’s why we offer daily float and 4 to 6 week assignments.

Job Requirements

As a Critical Care RN at Mercy Health, you’ll basically do it all. We need your compassion and engaging personality. You’ll also use your strong clinical skills, and your desire to make sure each patient has the best outcomes and a good experience. Plus, you’ll need to be organized, have top-notch communication and interpersonal skills, and work well with a diverse population.

Specifically, you’ll need:

  • An Associate Degree in Nursing with the passion of getting your bachelor’s degree within 4 years; completed Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred
  • Current RN license in Ohio
  • 1–2 years of critical care nursing experience or recent RN grad with critical care practicum
  • Additional training in your area of specialization
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification

And the following are a plus:

  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • EKG certification
  • Trauma certification
  • CCRN certification
  • Balloon pump experience
  • Additional certifications

Shift and Job Schedule

  • Hours: Full-Time, 36 hours weekly
  • Shift: nights, 6:30pm - 6:00am
